ABSTRACT

Objective: The objective of the study was to determine the job satisfaction of public workers in the provincial municipalities of the Tumbes region (Peru). Method: The method used was a descriptive, non-experimental cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 319 male and female workers from the 3 provincial municipalities. A sociodemographic questionnaire and the Job Satisfaction Questionnaire were used as data collection instruments. Results: The results showed that only 10% of the participants had high job satisfaction. Within the dimensions, the majority showed low satisfaction (67%) with the remuneration received. No significant differences were found between men and women with respect to job satisfaction, and those with permanent employment status had lower levels than those who work on a temporary basis. Conclusions: It is concluded that most of the personnel working in the provincial municipalities of the Tumbes region have low levels of job satisfaction, so it is important to develop programs aimed at strengthening the bond and favorable attitude of workers with the institution where they work. © 2023 The Authors.

ABSTRACT

Covid-19 is an infectious disease that has caused significant rates of morbidity and mortality in the world population, such as measures to contain SARS-CoV-2 infection, the use of a mask, hand hygiene, vaccination, in addition, the States imposed mandatory quarantine;measures that have caused impacts on the attitude of individuals to assume the aforementioned health policies. With the objective of evaluating attitudes towards Covid-19, an observational psychometric study was carried out with a sample of 296 people, an instrument of 28 items arranged in three dimensions was proposed. For the validation process, a review was carried out by expert judges, who evaluated the clarity, sufficiency and relevance of each item with respect to the variable and its dimension. Confirmatory factor analysis was then performed and internal consistency was estimated with Cronbach's alpha index (α). As a result, the instrument has adequate psychometric properties to assess the attitude towards Covid-19 (α=0.880), with three dimensions: emotional-affective (α=0.738);cognitive-beliefs (α=0.788) and volitional-behavioral (α=0.638), the latter is preserved since as a whole they do not affect the general reliability of the instrument. It is concluded that the CAPC-19 is a valid and reliable tool to assess attitudes towards the current pandemic, which can be adapted in different population groups and contexts. Its use is recommended in national studies, to estimate the predisposition of individuals and identify vulnerability and thus design strategies that reduce uncertainty for the benefit of population health. © 2022 Instituto de Altos Estudios de Salud Publica. ABSTRACT

To deal with the post-Covid sequelae, living conditions and positive coping measures are required. As an objective, it was proposed to determine the living conditions and positive coping measures in Covid-19 patients recovered from an Educational Institution in northern Peru, 2022. The research was quantitative correlational with a non-experimental cross-sectional design with a sample of 92 students. recovered from Covid-19 (preadolescents 10-14 years old and adolescents 15-19 years old). As a data collection instrument, the KIDSCREEN survey was applied to assess the comprehensive quality of life of five (5) dimensions and the Spanish version of the modified 28-item COPE-28 instrument to measure positive coping strategies. To analyze the data, Microsoft Excel and SPSS software were used to apply descriptive statistics and find frequency tables and the correlation between variables. As a result, a significant correlation <0.01 was found with Spearman's Rho 0.556 for physical activity and health, 0.467 mood and feelings, 0.630 family life and free time, 0.512 social support and friends and 0.578 in school environment, on the other hand, the relationship between the dimensions of resilience and the family social climate according to general living conditions showed a significant correlation <0.01 and Spearman's Rho of 0.518 for courage, 0.418 acceptance, 0.562 interaction, 0.481 optimism, 0.557 co-responsibility and 0.609 solidarity. Concluding that positive coping measures are essential in the pre-adolescent and adolescent population to combat the ravages of the COVID-19 pandemic. © 2022 Instituto de Altos Estudios de Salud Publica. ABSTRACT

A retrospective study was conducted in which articles on anxiety in times of pandemic published and indexed in the Scopus database were examined, and whose authors are affiliated with Latin American institutions. Latin American scientific production on anxiety continues to increase. Brazil is the country that contributes the highest production, representing 44.67% of production, followed by Mexico, Argentina and Peru. Research on psychological variables and their relationship with COVID-19 in Latin America is still limited with respect to world production. It is necessary to increase the collaboration of international authors through the formation of professional and academic groups within and outside the region.
